They perform a three-hour on-site inspection, checking your appliances and systems (ventilation, etc) and afterwards, they write up a report with recommendations for changes that will have the biggest impact, such as fixing a leaky fridge, changing your air ducts, using more power strips and turning them off, etc.
Their fees average about $700 and are based on your home size, and if you decide to do any renovations, they apply half the cost to that.
