Anousheh Ansari, the first female space tourist and also the first female Muslim and first Iranian in space, is back on Earth after 8 days in space. She kept a space blog here, her Flickr is here, and she seems pretty damn cool.
I wouldn’t mind being the first deafie in space.
There was the time I watched a movie with Selma Blair where her character says “F**k me, n*gg*r” several times.
1] I didn’t know that scene was going to be in the movie or that line was going to be spoken
2] I was watching it on my laptop
3] On an airplane
4] With the sound on
5] Obviously oblivious to this fact
6] oooops
I grew up reading my parents' Gourmet and National Geographic magazines, so it is not surprising that I'm passionate about food and traveling. I love taking pictures of food, visiting city markets, trying new cuisines, and learning to cook them when I get back home.
I've picked porcini mushrooms in the hills of Tuscany, participated in tea ceremony in Kyoto while wearing a kimono, and cooked a Thanksgiving meal for 20 in France. (Protip: turkeys are really expensive in France, and French flour doesn't make very good cornbread.)
